That is kinda what I was thinking as well Cap'n. If the 328 struggled a bit to get up on plane loaded with the F5's than you could see someone considering a prop change if you always run real heavy, but even fully loaded the 328 comes up on plane pretty quick with the F5's without even using the trim tabs.

Also I'd prefer to run the engines around 3400 instead of 4000 RPM and still run close to 30 MPH.

Mike.

I will strongly agree with your statement. It's better for the engines at 3400 RPM. 4,000 RPM is good for a short period, but not something I would want to run my boat at for an extended amount of time.

I've got a newly reconditioned set of F5s sitting in my garage? Make me an offer if you want.

I wonder how well a 328 would run with one set of F3's and one set of reconditioned F5's ?

I don't know how it would run ( I think I could guess real close ) but the real fun would be to "sync" your engines and at the same time keep your boat driving in a straight line. :)

I would think the F5's are a better overall set for the 328 than F3's. I'm surprised that his even has F3's.

Yeah, even Volvo's prop guide has no mention of F3 for a Gi series drive.
Probably got switched out when the buyer decided to sell...

Oh, and they are painted :-)
