I set out to do some maintenance on my new to me Funship today......one of the things I wanted to do was drain the 12 gallon fresh water tank.......I can't see that it has one?

I did find on the opposite side from the outlet that there is what appears to be a threaded plug........I guess I could install a drain valve in there.......

What have others with an onboard fresh water system done?

Run the faucet until its empty. The small amount remaining won't be an issue. Throw a gallon or two of water line antifreeze in there and run it through the system.

firecadet613,

Thanks for the quick reply.......but, winterization is not a concern......I live in SUNNY & HOT southern California.........I'm in my mid 40's and still have never seen a real snow flake.........

MY goal is to drain the tank a couple of times per year to exchange the water for fresh.......I do this same thing with my Class A motorhome and I've never experienced skunky water........

Being I've only owned this boat not quite 2 months I have no idea how long this water has been in the tank......and I'm not really sure running the pump to drain 12 gallons is something I want to do........

Draining the tank through the faucet doesn't take long - unfortunately, my kids do it all the time....

Got it. Throw a bit of bleach in and drain and refill a few times to clean it out.
