Pulled my seawater pump while winterizing and want to rebuild it. It always had a leak from the shaft area and I figured I'd rebuild it over the winter. I can't find any parts website that sells the shaft seals/O rings that go around the shaft on the inside of the pump under the impeller. I have found numerous impeller kits, but they only inculde impeller and assorted gaskets.

Help?

Sorry I missed your post NiagaraChillin. All last winter I was trying to source out the exact same thing for a customers 454 Mercruisers. Needless to say I ended up putting 2 new pumps on. I kept the old ones if the parts ever come available or I can find a rebuilder that can do it.

Thats what I love about this forum, guys get bored and start going over older posts and offering help/advice to unanswered topics. 8)

Try this: http://www.boats.net/parts/search/OMC/S ... parts.html

I have the same pump on my engines and had an intermittent leak on one of them a few years ago. Since I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find the parts, I installed a new pump and rebuilt the old one to use as a spare. It wasn't too bad of a job installing them.
