Dealer mechanic or buddy mechanic? If it was a dealer mechanic, their insurance should cover it. Any mechanic induced mistake and/or damage should be covered. If it was a buddy mechanic, well, looks like someone has to pony up the $$$ to get the systems refilled.

Here is a website, http://www.apisystemsgroup.com/system-refills.php sounds like they deal in commercial applications, but they may be able to recommend something for a boat.

Thanks Deductable would be $500 and your place to refill would involve customs and $100 plus for shipping Like to find Something alittle closer to home FYI NOT HALON

Why do you have to pay deductible? If it was your mechanics screw up, then the dealer/marina/shop should be paying for its replacement. Be the same thing as a mechanic stepping on your windshield and breaking it with his boot, wouldn't be your responsibilty to pay for a new one would it?

Well, you also didn't say the mechanic would pay, sorry for my assumption (and questions), but I never heard of the customer doing the research/legwork to fix a mechanics screw-up. :?: I mean, if ya got a real good relationship with the shop, thats cool, but I would'nt knock myself out trying to do their job unless they are gonna throw in a free winterization or something 8)

With all due respect I'm trying to help fix a problem by asking for a business in close proximatey to Victoria, Bc. that services the type of fireboy in my boat...... Seems like there must be a better way to recharge this system than shipping it thousands of miles As far as the Mechanic he is mobile and his foot triggered the fire system I believe in helping people perhaps because I also run a small business I don't like to see people lose money if possible Thanks for your input anyway but not the way I think

No problem brother, I believe in helping folks too. Reading your original post, it sounded like you were paying for your mechanics mistake. Just curious why that was. Believe me, my intention was actually to try and help YOU out, thats why I was asking the questions, not trying to get in your wheaties.

Wouldn't west marine be the way to go? Looks like thers one on Douglass st. Not sure how customs would work, if you ordered it from them.
