I have been looking at a Four Winns Vista to maybe buy. It has a 5.7 volvo 280 Hp motor. The add saids it was the top motor offered at the time. What would be a good price to buy it at? It also has NO trailer, so how would I get it to Lake Eire? Also been looking at a Searay Sundacer 240 2000 and a 2001. They both have the 5.0 motors. What would be a good price to buy one of them at? Also what do you recommend? The searay or four winns?? :)

Thanks

Get the Four Winns....hands down a nicer boat than the Searay 240.....'course Searay owners would disagree!!.. For an '02, I wouldn't pay more than low 20's...but it depends on if it's a salt water or fresh water boat....also the overall condition, how well it was maintained, etc. You may want to have it surveyed too before you buy....

Does it have AC in it already. I installed one in my previous 248 did all the work myself and it ran me about $1200. The 248 has more room in the aft cabin than the Sea Ray. So if you are going to be using it a lot that it a good point to know. Where are you located. My 248 will be for sale. When we bought our 328 we bought it privately and the guy is going to sell mine come spring.

You should wait until 2014 to buy one. Four Winns is making a very special boat that you will love. It will be called the 247.5 Vistadownerdancer. Unique in that it has two engines. Port engine is a 5.0L Mercruiser and Starboard engine is a 5.7L Gxi Volvo Penta. It will have AC and is specifically designed for Lake Erie.
It also runs on SPAM if no gasoline is available. It will be an awesome boat. Save your money for this one, it will be worth the wait.

How would this work? Please tell me more info and where you got the info. Are you still trying to sell your 238?
