A Sandy boat. Seems pricey to me with all the work it needs. Sad sight to see all the damage to boats like this.

Strange, but I viewed those pics of the damage and felt sorry for that poor boat.

A lot of work will be required to bring "Big Kahuna" back to original shape and the statement of engine room taking on water would require close evaluation as to what effect the water may of had to those engines, other mechicals etc.

Someone taking on the extent of required repair to this boat must have a pair of "Big Kahuna's".

Note: It will be buyer beware even up here in the Great Lakes area that some of these damaged and repaired boats end up for sale in our area. Hence the importance of detailed pre purchase inspections and surveys.

I would be very careful and would agree that the price is high to buy a boat load of issues.

I think you are right that a bunch of these boats will get patched up and sold cheap. We had a dockmate who bought a Katrina boat and spent 3 years chasing issues down. The boat still does not run right. Unless you have the time and cash to replace everything, I would not want to take the chance on a boat like that.
