We are deciding the same exact thing! Currently looking at flexiteek (for a 298 Vista) which is beautiful, durable but gets hot in the sun...cost is $$$$.
Snap in carpet (www.snapincarpet.com) has our template already and they make a teak pattern carpet for 1/3 the $ as flexiteek. Carpet sure seems easier and cheaper initially, but will have to replace in a few years. Flexiteek has a better wear and warranty.
Hmmm??? What to do?

Really like the seadek stuff soft under your feet not hot and looks really durable but would love to hear what people think. Funny my last boat was also a maxum 2300 ( 2001) great boat but i love my 268

We loved our Maxum also, but needed a bit bigger for weekending! We have looked at the seadek foam flooring. Initially it looks great, feels great and was a bit cheaper (and does not get hot under foot), but have seen a boat or two with it a few years later...peeling up in corners, stained and worn down in high traffic areas. We will NOT consider foam or cork faux teak. The flexiteek does not wear down, cleans very easily and looks like the real thing. But the cost is crazy, the pattern making and installation are crazy! Not sure I want to make that much investment. Flexiteek quote: $5000 (swim platform, entire cockpit and galley area). Snapincarpet: $600 (cockpit area only).
