What town? North Shore or South Shore? I'm in CT 12 mi across the sound from Port Jefferson......been to Danford's several times (in P.J.) and also to Britannia Yacht Club in Northport once--nice pool!

Brittanias is very nice, if it wasn't so pricey I'd love to have our boat there. Another benefit is that the water there is more brackish than salt so you have less issues with barnacles. Also they are very protected from storms, during Sandy the docks didn't float off and the boats had no damage to speak of.

This place looks nice, never been out there except to the aquarium years ago, it's out in Riverhead Long Island....

I came over from the CT. River stopped in Greenport for lunch then on threw the bays then onto riverhead L.I. Great ride on the way home i ran about 31 mph and was back in deep river in under 2 hours , best part is if you book 2 nites you get the 3rd free we did the aqurium one day a huge waterpark the next and outlets on the 3rd you also get all the perks of the hotel( pools gym bars shuttles) very protected.
