My 2000 298 swim platform has soft spots in it. Glass guy says it is delaminating from the core material and needs to be taken apart, core material replaced, and put back together at a whopping cost of about $3,800.
Does anybody know where I can get a used one in good shape or advice about whether to repair or completely replace?
Thanks!

I'd replace! You could get an aftermarket one, made for your boat at half that price shipped.. On my Larson Cabrio 290, I had one made for it, they didn't have the template for it yet, so they sent a kit to create one and send back to them, it was pretty easy, and it was made and shipped to me for $1700 and it looked awesome and was huge! Of course, you'll need to install it yourself (what I did) or find someone else too.. This is where I got mine at, but there are others too..
