We stored ours in the mid cabin if it's not being used. or in the head along the wall.

We use the wood cabin table in the cockpit and the V berth. We use the same table post and just move the table to where it's needed or where it's out of the way. Otherwise we also store it in the mid cabin. There isn't a specific storage area that I know of.

Hey Cap'n,
How did you secure it in the head? Or did you just set it in there while in the slip? I was thinking of storing the v-berth and/or cockpit fill-in pieces in the head. Have them under the aft cabin cushions now and as you can guess they are not very comfy to sleep on if I forget to take them out before bed. :?
I was thinking maybe an adjustable shower rod or two to hold them against the wall.

If I'm not mistaken didn't some older Vistas have table storage in the head?

A great way to keep things from slipping off your table is a piece off rubber matting 3 feet long. Sell it at the dollar stores but worth a million in such that food plates remain stable in a wake wash .Enjoy your 268 I am sure it will give you hours of fun . Get a bbq and get cookin :P

Best John

I also went down to just the wood table we leave it set up in the cockpit at all times . On a 2000 vista they used 2 diffrant poles from inside to outside , i welded 3/4 ss threads to the bottom of my large table leg now it work upstairs and downstairs one table one leg equals more storage. Welcome to the FW family i also have a 2000 268 and love it and love custumizing it any qustions let me now

Pipedreams....would you mind expanding on..."I welded 3/4" threads to the bottom of my large table leg"? This seems like a fantastic idea. My boats presently in storage but I think this is one of the first things I'll do when I see it next.
Thanks

I took the leg from downstairs that fits into the bottom of the cherry wood table , picked up a large stainless stell 3/4 bolt that threaded into the table mount uptairs brought bolth to local welder had him cut a small alum. Disk that fit in the bottom of round table leg we then welded it flush the tapped the center of this disk , cut the head off the bolt threaded it in the disk then cross drilled and put a grade 8 pin threw it i could send you a pic once i take the cover off in a couple weeks . The hole thing cost me 30$

Ok, I'm close to understanding this. Does the 3/4" bolt stay in it or is it removed via the grade 8 pin? Ah man, now I'm not so sure anymore...a picture would be great if you think of it.
Thanks

The bolt stays in if you look at the bottom of the leg theres 1.5 inches of thread sticking out of the alum. Disk this always stays the pin is in to stop the bolt from spinning i would of welded it but ss to alum didnt work
