I just added a bluetooth module to my Clarion deck........before you all start stepping on me spheres about running a Clarion deck.....I don't have an amp or tower speakers and I don't want either one.......my Clarion CMD5 has a wireless remote which is all I need for background music..........streaming Pandora via Bluetooth is pretty cool.......... 8)

I have Sirius but would prefer Pandora since staying on Sirius channel isn't possible when turning off ignition and restarting....my prob is that cell service sucks at our usual lake...means no Pandora.

And what does this thread have to do with Four Winns boats?

Not that I care, but is this the right place?

Boat is a boat. I'm still FW at heart just don't own one currently. Anything I do here you can do to a FW. I'll own one again one day my dream is a Vista it's just not the right time for one.

Heck, I drove 4 hour to the Miami boat show just to see the new S265 and rock my FW shirt and drink coozies all the time I think that shows enough dedication :)

False statement # 5,386 from you once again.

Read please:
Fusion CA-CD800

Quote:
Putting this head unit above its competition and siblings though is a much improved version 2.0 Bluetooth chipset that sports A2DP streaming ability.

For $120 it's pretty hard to beat IMO.

That is the fusion automotive radio, no marine features. It's $120 bucks and in the world of automotive stereos it's an antique. Doesn't even come with a remote or do bluetooth calling.

This is what I got:

Oh, and it works with Marine remotes (as all Kenwood radios car or marine do) :)

So is the one you bought.

Does not diminish the fact that you know very little about Fusion stereo and their bluetooth capabilities. The CD-800 also
has a remote.

Stereo is a stereo, don't fall for the hype. Only the Fusion Marine is IP rated, which is great if the boat sinks the radio will still play but it doesn't have bluetooth. Sony, Kenwood, JVC, etc marine radios have no water ratings. Kenwood got smart and just made it so their wired remotes run off 1 wire, so they work with either marine or automotive style remotes (car steering wheel). The Sirius adapter for Kenwood is also only $20. Sony forces you to buy their feature lacking "marine" radios if you want their marine remotes. You want Sirius on your sony marine? That's $70. I'm glad Sony doesn't feel we need bluetooth on our boats in 2013. That's crazy. Even Clarion Marine stereos have bluetooth now.

The Fusion remote costs extra, doesn't come in the box.

Ugh oh found one "kludge". Someone hard wired the blower to the battery, which energizes the boat bypassing the battery switch. Came out to a dead battery had to goto the 2nd to start. Blower only works with it connected I'll have to trace the short. Probably a breaker as there is no fuses. Not a big deal

I want to see your AC conversion! I have been thinking about what I want to do for my boat with an AC system, but it sounds like you have a solid plan. Hurry up! Spring is coming soon ;)

Note to self: Do not under any circumstances use the same surveyor that ric used.

I assume your saying the switch for the blower stays powered, but don't know how that powers entire boat. Unless all accessories bypass battery switch. The bilge should stay live.....right??
