We make our own wine (and lots of it) so "Touch of Glass" (wine glasses and a fiberglass boat) seemed fitting!

"It's Only Money" was my wife and I first boat.
Last boat was "Weekend Therapy"
Current boat, "Naut in Rehab".

Last two were based off what my wife does for a living, she's a Physical Therapist on an inpatient rehab unit at the a local hospital.

We named our boat for two reasons, cheaper to Coast Guard register and why not?? I've been in IT all my life, which means CTRL+ALT+Delete gets me to the water the fastest!

After seeing how well my 8.2 runs, I should have named it. She' Gone! :-)

Our first cabin in the mountains was called "Bearadise". Our new lake house is "Bearadise by the lake". Our boat is "Bearadise Too". Kind of a play on words as this is our second boat...

"Stand On It" is mine....some people don't know that it means "floor it" or "put the pedal to the metal", etc.

I think you are approaching this wrong....People don't name Boats. They name themselves! What is your boat telling you she should be named? ...

I agree completely. My wife wanted to name our current boat before we took delivery. I said I can't name it until I see it's personality. I also like names that have double meanings.

Here are the names of my last three boats (new to old):

"Knot Easy" (it previous name was "Knot on Call"). This keeps part of the old name, and reflects the amount of work it takes to trailer, clean, and cover a 24' after each use. Double meaning might mean easy speed.

"Sea Cow" (Chaparral 197 Cuddy) Inspired by "Steers like a cow", a line from Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy describing a spaceship. Steers like a cow was my impression on an early trip when I was heavily loaded with people and dive gear. Double meaning is a nod to our Manatee population.

"Blue Streak" my 16' Blue Ski-Boat. (go-fast boat)

Ric, How about for your boat... "SPERM WHALE"
