Planning a big trip on Lake Erie and heading to the southern tip of lake Huron, our home port is Erie Pa. Wondering if any Detroit or St. Clair boaters could give any helpfull tips? Nice marinas with transient dockage, resterants or convenient gas stations. Any areas that may hold uncharted hazards? We have been to the islands on Lake Erie a few times but have not traveled West of there. Leaving on July 5th and plan to be in the Detriot river by the 8th (weather and lake permitting of course). Anybody that would like to cruise with us (on any part of the trip) are welcome, we presently have two boats going. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

PS. Not planning to touch Canadian waters so only looking for info about American side.

We leave on one of our boating holidays on Monday July 1st.

Plan to boat into Lake Erie into Put-In-Bay for July 1,2 and 3rd. Then to Cedar Point, in Ohio for July 4th and 5th.

From Cedar Point we are heading back up into Lake St. Clair and will be at Belle Maer Harbour, in Harrison TWP, Michigan for July 6 and 7th.

Leaving Belle Maer and docking at Lake St. Clair Metro Park for July 8th and 9th.

Our paths may cross when you are travelling the Michigan side of Lake St. Clair as we will also be on that side of the lake for a couple days before heading back to our home port.
