I'd be interested in know what the costs were, who you used for transportation etc, what your purchase experience was like etc. I imported my car from the US, and I knew exactly what process to follow, but its a little different for boats.

I imported my 248 from Hall's in MI. Pretty straight forward. Both taxes on the boat. Only one tax on the trailer and paid the other tax at the license office for a trailer plate when I registered the trailer.
I would think that you may pay all taxes at the point of entry now that is just HST. In and out in 20min no need to have paper work 72hrs ahead of time. For the right deal I would do it again in a heart beat. Having the boat transported if wider than 12' will cost you $$$$. I looked before we bought our 328

Yes for my 248. I inquired about a few 328's in the US but several dealers did not seem interested in moving them! What are you looking for I know where there are a few FW on the trent for sale.

Looking for a 2006+ V378. Would love IPS like this one, but I can't afford it, so probably something with twin 8.1L. This boat has been for sale for the last two years. They were asking 164k last year, I think I will go see it, but what do you think about the 210 hours, that seems high.

Just how many hours do you think is typical per year? 210 for that one doesn't seem at all high, that's low even. The fact that it's been sitting two years is a bigger concern. Just how well it was set up for storage would be my concern, regarding the engines especially. Not sure how I'd feel getting a boat that size with gas sterndrives. Sure it's not inboards?

What about this one (already diesel and IPS)

Thanks, I'll PM you if I need more info. I'm going to arrange a look at that local V378 first.

Here you go!!!! everything you have asked for and located in Ontario. I am guessing either in Port Severn or Orillia area

Man, I wish you didn't find this, now I want it, AGAIN!! I saw this actual boat come into Henry's fish restaurant a few years back while we were docked there to. I can attest it's pretty darn sweet, we were drooling all over it and my wife and I still lust after a 378, our favourite "if money were no object" boat. A great find, JUST DO IT!!
