Well everyone is right...happy and sad day all wrapped into one. To be honest, we put it up for sale no expecting it to go. Less than 3 days and it is off to a new home in Northern Michigan. Wonderful family bought it so we were excited about that.

Picture from last night on our final cruise...Lake Michigan was flat.

Stay tuned...we were not planning on buying until spring but we might have stumbled upon a deal we can't pass on.

Wow WD, that was FAST. It's hard to imagine the emotions. Best of luck on the forthcoming deals.

Congrats on selling your boat in this economy! How did you sell yours so fast (your secret) as I am considering letting mine go also, and did you sell at a low price or get what you asked for?

Thank, yes I got very close to my asking price. Not sure what tips I can tell you. I guess it does not hurt that I am in sales and marketing as a career. But I would make sure you have awesome pictures. Clean the boat and make sure they are great. Those will drive people to call/email you. Once they contact you, make sure you answer all questions with great grammar and a polite and friendly disposition. I know it sounds trivial and basic, but you can't believe the number of people I come across who fail in one or all of the things I mentioned. The person buying the boat will pay a little more for it of they trust you and you show pride in what you own.

I'm not sure, but the new owners might have dropped anchor next to me on torch this past weekend. If so, they're already putting her to good use

Wet Doggg,

I'll bet you will find the right boat, for the right price for you and your family to enjoy.

Take your time and do your due diligence to insure you purchase a boat you can be happy with and not second guess yourself afterwards if it was the right choice. Boats are expensive, better to try and get a good one at a good price and be content with your purchase decision.

Good luck and all the best to you in your search.

Mike.

Congrats!

You are so right on your comments about selling. I'm pretty pleased on what I got for my 260 and it was still winter dirty!

Had I the time when I went to sell, I could have gotten what I wanted. These boats are wanted!
