Towed to Portage IN Thursday afternoon and met Jninzi and Bliss36 for ribs at Wagners. Next morning Headed north to Petoskey with Bliss36 and made it in before the storms hit. Spent a couple of days and headed out this morning to Traverse City. Stopped along the way to explore the island along the way and hit Duncan L Clinch marina to settle in. Had a great dinner. I could get used to this style of boating!

I made reservations in Portage just in case we need to stop. Maybe well stop in on the way back and say hi to everyone at MS.

Isnt that area awesome? Thats one of my favorite marinas. I wanted to head back up there this year but the admiral wanted to do the inland waterway, Burt and Mullet lake, cheboygan and mackinaw city. Guess who won?!?

Maybe next year. We are leaving Thursday for 11 days. Cant wait

Jeff,
This area is even better than I remember and that's saying a lot because we absolutely fell in love with this place last time(2010) we were here. I feel like this part of Michigan can be compared to a Disney World for Boater's. Everything is clean and perfect not to mention everyone is so darn friendly up here. There is a buzz in the air here in Traverse City as they are kicking off the film festival, and have a giant movie screen setup next to the marina with Grand Traverse Bay as a back drop! We will post some pics once we get to our next stop of Charlevoix!

I'm very interested to hear about your travels on the inland waterway. I had about a 20 minute conversation with a fellow boater I met at a gas station on the way up here who keeps his boat on Burt Lake and was telling me how neat that area is.

Ben
