I've got my boat name! Now I just need to order some lettering. Any suggestions for font or vendor? I'm looking for a font that complements the existing four winns lettering on the boat. Not necessarily the same font but something that will flow. Graphic Design is not really my thing.

I purchased mine from BoatUS. Letters came out perfect. I also purchased the registration from them too. Local shops wanted a lot more. Comes with squeegee applicator, clear instructions, and very easy to put on with 2nd set of hands.

+1, BoatUS.com/graphics.

I just received my new registration numbers from them since moving the boat to a different state. Had them pull up my original order from several years ago and duplicate it with the new numbers.

There some pretty cool chrome raised lettering here. I have the lettering for my boat name but havent put it on yet...just came last week. Seems to be good quality....we will see.

Watch the law dogs, boat registration has to be a contrasting color of specific size and spacing. Fancy colors or chrome lettering is a sure fire way to get boarded and inspected.

Nice big black bold letters on the white part of your hull. Yes ugly, but you'll be left alone while you're hiding that cooler full of beer in the ski locker.

230 Mike, if you had that in Florida you'd be boarded every weekend.

One of many reasons I wouldn't live in Florida for love or money. They're a contrasting color, 3" high, completely legible from any distance that any other letter is.

Those are actually sweet looking , I wouldn't see why they would mess with you over those letters. Classy looking. I like Ohio's new law that they passed, They can no longer pull you over just for a safety stop, they have to have a reason to pull you over. Coast Guard and Border Patrol are the only excused from the law. At Put In Bay the police , then the sheriff would pull you over for nothing, Driving business away from the islands.

I haven't been boarded for over 20 years!

Your chances of getting boarded are proportional to the volume of your stereo, and inversely proportional to the age of the driver. 8)

I was going to order lettering from BoatUS but was concerned with the color matching and the size being correct. I searched around and ended up finding a local sign shop 1 mile from my house that matched the colors to my boot stripe. They ended up being cheaper than BoatUS and offered to intall it for free. :D

It' not just Florida, ric. Utah is 3" BLOCK contrasting letters on the front half of the hull and the annual decal in a specific location and also the mood of the officer of the day. I agree, better ugly numbers and less of a reason to interrupt my day.

In case you do want to match the FW font I believe it's called Friz Quadratta. I had my local sign shop make the letters in that font and it looks pretty good. Where I boat in Wisconsin, the letters have to be 3" also and of a "contrasting" color. That's all they say. They don't mention certain colors.

Ok I talked to the watercraft authorty. Ohio is 3" letters/numbers with 2" spacing between your groups of letters and numbers. Front half of the bow (location) . Registration is to be 6" off the State letters. Contrasting color, She said it could be any color just as long as you do not put while letters on white boat, has to be a different color, any color as long as the officers can see them from a distance. Chrome is acceptable. Sorry , I was board sitting here babysitting at work.

I used http://www.boatdecals.biz/ for my H260 and I used www.decalcity.com for my wave runner. Both were fast and cheap and the vinyl was high grade.
