By the way, it's the same fluid that goes into your trim reservoir.

anyone got a photo of the trim reservoir? Learning new things everyday. I believe my trip pump is on the port side under the back seat, there is a little cubby hole for storage and it has a pump mounted back there with the hoses hooked up to it. I will check it out and see.

Some trim systems use engine oil. Use either ATF or PS fluid.

The power steering & trim system both use a basic Dexron 3.
My trim pump also doesn't have a reservoir, Todd... :?

Deafwish, is yours mounted on the port side under your back seat as well? Ya I didnt see a reservoir as well on mine. hmm what the heck to ya do then? Thanks for the pics! :)

Ya I'm gonna dig in to that this weekend. gotta power steering pump to replace this weekend so I will have the engine compartment opened up so I can really look around. Thanks

The reservoir sits on top of the pump/ valve assembly, with the motor underneath ( the opposite way around to the later ones). There is a fill plug about half way up the reservoir.
