Although there is still some boating weather here in Ohio, the opening weekend for archery his here and since the boss would let me out of work (end of fiscal year) will no longer have time to go out for "one last ride". Maybe if I bag my nice buck I have been chasing for the couple of years (yea right). I always have to wait till it is cold and your toes are almost to the point of frostbite before I close the deal. But maybe, just maybe the sun will shine on a dog's a#$.

Here on the west coast it's just been too darn hot to take our boat out.......taking it out next weekend for the fist time since the fist of August.........looking forward to the cooler weather.........

Since we don't have to winterize here taking it out between Thanksgiving and New years results in some excellent time on the water.......

Have fun, hopefully you are planning a ride down the Kancamagus Highway! Such a beautiful drive! We were there earlier this month and stopped at Sabbaday Falls...gorgeous walk.

My season ended about two weeks ago when I noticed a slight separation on one of the trailer tires  . I can't justify putting on two new tires and then let them sit during the off season just for one more trip out so we'll just wait until next year. :(

Just finishing my second summer of boating as well. Last winter almost killed me. Could not wait to get the boat out of storage in the spring. I'm sure this winter won't be much better. To help pass the time, I will do some mountain biking, beer brewing, house projects, and lots of ifourwinns forum reading. I appreciate all you guys making the past two summers a great educational experience for me.

I'll be driving on the beach down at Robert Moses State Park on the western tip of Fire Island in one of our Jeeps to break up the monotony of winter. Its beautiful down there but with the sea breeze it gets COLD....There are guys down there fishing all the time and many with huge 3/4 ton pick ups with slide campers and all the comforts of home....not much else to do here on Long Island but go to boat shows...

I can't believe it's that time already. Draw down starts oct 15 so I have till then. Atv season is about to start and hopefully the ice will be thick and thinly covered in snow this year.
And what winter wouldn't be complete without house projects galore! And don't forget Christmas time boat gifts.... :D

Glen Echo Lake is a smaller size lake about 1.3 miles long, free of rocks, unlike webster lake, and full of good

It's a tad small for the v248 but the slip is free and for now were living the dream.

It's a small private lake in Charlton MA. I live in a secluded inlet which has its advantages and disadvantages. we live on 3 acres of which we own 120 feet of frotage on the lake. its a bit of a walk from the house but its very convenient to have your boats in your back yard so to speak.

I traded my vista for our pontoon boat in 2011 and we love it. I bought the vista to camp in with my boys and the mrs, but they didn't like it... Too small for them. I even put in shore power so they could bring their video games with them.
Someday I'll get something a bit "bigger" and put it in the ocean or a huge lake.

Cap'n how are you adjusting to having a boat that you can't live on? For me it was less work, cleaning and winterizing is now a breeze.

I know that to be true. She already has been dropping little hints.
