Yeah I know, it's definitely Crownline territory down there. I've often wondered why FW hasn't established a dealer in the area.

We only get to TR once a year, and we make a week of it. First couple of years (before we bought the current boat and the 1st year we had it) we were at Indian Point, but since then we slip it at What's Up Dock at Kimberling City. I'm not sure if we're going to make that trip this year, however.

Jon,

That $2600 is a much better price. They must have changed how that thing is set up and priced. Sounds like a better deal now-one that I would have probably gone for if offered.

I was born in Springfield-not too far from you. We used to boat on the Ohio River out of Eagle Creek. I was a very small child when we moved, so I don't really remember it.

Sounds like you have your setup nailed down pretty well. Good luck from this point forward.

Regarding the windshield, I can't speak from experience, as I don't have my boat yet, but I ordered it with the tall windshield, and I'm going to tint it because I really like how the other one looks, but I'm tall and it's short, so I figured there is no way it could offer me much protection. I've seen the boat with the tall windshield and it looks nice. No issues there, and it wasn't even tinted. My 2 cents.

I was thinking the same thing, even though I am not really tall I did sit in one and it seemed as though the wind would blast your face. I do love the look though.

I have only test driven mine. But, yes, you get blasted in the face with wind, however I love the way it looks. The comfort is I can hear that 6.2 above the wind! On a related note... Watch your head on the tower while stepping aboard. It looks sharp, but I'm sure to cuss mine a few times before I get used to it. As an aside... make sure to get the Bimini as well!

Click on my link to take a look at my pic's, as my SS is very close to the one you are after.

I love the look too, that's why I'm going to tint mine. I can't handle having constant wind in my face, and I think my wife would snap, too.

I have the Orange SS, with the low windshield the wind does hit your face a bit but not irritatingly so, just had to have the low look, the led platform lights do look pretty cool at night sort of a purple colour really stands out.

Hi there, new to the site, new too boating, I have bought a 2008 F/Ws H200SS (Black), 5.0l mpi, wakeboard tower, walk thru doors, front and cockpit cover, platform lighting, and deck mat, with tandem axle trailer, it shows the msrp at $47,000 and change, I am paying $34,900 + taxes, I don't have some of your options, but I felt that the pricing was good. They were offering 1500 rebate for boat shows, and another 1500 rebate (-3000) not sure what the second rebate is for?,

Regards
Derek

Newbieboater, that sounds like a good deal

I was able to get the price down to 45000 even which is right at 20% off. I called a couple different dealers and got them to bid the price down between them. I also sold my old boat :D so I am going to go place the order tomorrow. :D :D

Heck, I place the order in late August/early September.... the boat arrived at my dealer (which was 3000 miles from me!) in mid October... I flew out and took delivery aka paid at the end of October... and it spent November getting shipped across the country where it is now in storage - winterized and shrink wrapped. I still haven't opened her up to pull out all the "stuff" that got shipped with the boat - fenders, lines, wakeboards, supplies, etc...
