Hey guys, I hope everybody has been doing well and looking forward to a fast approaching spring. My wife and I went to a boat show last night to look at the Horizon 220. We really like it a lot and are thinking about trading in our 2007 Horizon 210 for it. I want your opinions on a couple things. I would have already done it, but I really love the yellow on our boat. As many of you probably know, they changed the yellow for the 2008, and I personally don't care too much for it. So, that would leave me choosing another color, maybe red, that I may not be as happy with even if I like the new boat better. Do you think that they are likely to change the color back again to the bright yellow, or will this yellow probably stick around for a while? Finally, I think we got a great quote for the new Horizon 220 boat and a great offer for our boat. They are asking 41K, including taxes and title. The boat we would order and were quoted for would come with the classic color band, 5.7 liter 300 hp volvo, corsa exhaust, bow seat filler cushions, dual batteries, docking lights, transom stereo remote, cockpit/bow canvas. What do you all think? Thanks!

Congrats big blue!

Sounds like you have a sweet boat set up! I'm not very knowledgeable on the history of Four Winns yellow.... but hopefully someone can chime in there.

As for your boat and price... I don't know what your taxes are in your state (or how a tax credit works if you trade it in) -- but it looks to me that you are probably around a 20-25% discount from MSRP... that is a great deal for a FW boat...

Good luck and keep us posted on your decision!

There's no way to know the future of colors or graphics. If a ton of people complain it might have an effect, but I doubt that will happen. If the previous yellow comes back it's just as likely to be coincidence. Be aware that red will show spots more easily and will fade faster than yellow if it's stored outside (although yellow will fade faster than other colors too).

It sounds like a good deal on a great boat. Not a big fan of the yellow or Orange personally. After reading Mike's comment, glad I opted for the Black instead of holding out for Red.
Are you going for the Frenzy Edition, or anything like that??? All those options look like one of those or the SS packages.

Congrats!

No, it's not the Frenzy or SS. It is just the standard Horizon 220.

I should've also said, keep a good coat of UV blocking wax on there, and enjoy. I didn't mean to make anyone think they should second guess their choice of colors. Just be aware of what's needed to keep it looking good.

+1 to Mike... Find a good wax with a UV blocker... Try to cover the color when you store the boat in the winter...

And above all else -- enjoy the boat for what it is... a boat.

Sounds about right for the 220, so long as they are taking care of you pretty well on the 210.
