[b]Ahoy fellow Boaters!

We just upgrade from a 2004 Sea hunt Triton 202 Center Console and became the new owner of a 2004 Vista 268 at the end of October, just in time to have her winterized for the season.

It has windlass, 5KW Kohler generator, radar arch, AC/Heat, 280HP Volvo Penta 5.7L duo prop, full bimini and cockpit enclosure canvas, foredeck sun pads (don't think they were ever use) this is just some of her stuff. She is in great shape. I would post a photo if I figure out how.

We are in the Middle River, Chesapeake Bay area of Maryland. Anyone around here too?

Happy to be joining all of you as a Vista owner!

Colleen and Jim

Congrats on the boat and welcome to the site, if I may speak for others here. We got an '02 268 a couple years ago and are having a blast with it. We see lots of good info exchanged here, and sometimes it is good to look back through old posts for boat info or fun places to go.

Welcome, we have enjoyed all our Vista's but the 04 268 was my favorite.

Welcome! Sounds just like the '04 268 I had, sans the radar arch. Can't wait to see pics!

I don't mean to derail this thread, but curious why the 268 was your favorite. Looking at your signature, we've had about the same size progression.

Firecadet,
I guess because it was the first boat we had that came with AC (which took boating to a hole new level). Also when we bought it we were on a small lake then moved it to lake Erie. I was concerned with the big water but was very satified with the way it cut the waves. The first year on Erie we took it on a 800 mile journey and it exceeded all my expectations. The oversized swim platform was great after having a very small area on the 238. The only drawback, was the "list" to port at the dock, I have seen others comments on that here before but if you keep the fresh water tank filled and the flushing water about a third full you can minimize the list. Don't get me wrong I love the room in our 328 but the old 268 will always have a special place in my hart.

I hear you on that. While I love my 318, I do miss the 268. Not as much now that we have a one year old, the gear they bring with them takes up a ton of room!

Yes you need to upload to a photo site then just copy the image code and then paste it into your post
