It's so cold here in central NC, I lit a fire and the flame froze. :shock:

Thats the celcius temperature scale, I'm Canadian eh.

For reference, -35°C is equal to -31°F, so that's pretty darn cold on any scale!

5*F here in Long Island NY and tomorrow night it might actually dip below zero which is unusual for us. Just got 10" of snow here.
Last night was blowing snow and blizzard like conditions.
I had my wife's old 98 Subaru with all wheel drive and General Altimax Arctic studded tires. No problem at all.

What's that in American degrees LOL.....
It just drives me crazy, that we still don't use metric here, even though all US cars are all metric and have been for years. We have metric cars, we buy soda in liters, but no one knows what a centimeter is, or how many cm are in a foot (30 or so). I made myself memorize all the relevant metric equivalents, but temperature escapes me (except for 0 water freezes and 100 water boils)....
One last oddity, is that vehicle rim diameters are still measured in inches in most cases, even on imported vehicles....

Monday was a holiday. Sick all night.... work up on Tuesday, hate to use sick days. At 6:48am office closed due to snow. snow day = sick day. great didn't use any boating days up. crawled up on sofa all day. Hit 16 years this year now 26 days off, plus I carried over 10 1/2 days rom last year. look out summer!

I'm ready too...I only get two weeks a year but haven't taken but a couple days off in last three years. I'm maxed out at 4 weeks on the books so have to take 2 weeks off this year and I'm ready.
