Currently 70, high of 77. Cold front tomorrow in the 50's but by Friday it will be in the mid 70's and low 80's all weekend. I <3 Florida!

Wow today it got warmer by 12F. It was -10F this morning and at 5 tonight it was 2......
This weather is really getting old. I wish who ever opened the door in the arctic would please go back and shut it. On the brighter side I have been logging some serios miles on the sled since we got another good blast of snow on the weekend, but would much rather have boating season than sledding season!!!

The weatherman screwed-up in Atlanta and instead of a "dusting of snow" in North Metro Atlanta, we got about 2" and the roads immediately turned to ice with the 20+ degree temperature. It is around 7:00 AM the day after and people are still stuck on the highways after 15 or so hours (kids in school buses too). What a colossal f**k-up.

Mike, I was just saying to the wifey yesterday, I should buy a sled, that would put an end to winter real quick.

All common sense goes out the window when snow/ice hits an area that doesn't get it on a regular basis. People's brains just lock up and go into full retard mode. They rush to the store and stock up on a two weeks supply of bread/milk to make french toast, buy gallons of water like it's going to evaporate from their water pipes, and assume their all season radials automagically became studded snow tires.

Just brilliant ric. Countless people stranded for countless hours, most without food or water, some ran out of fuel and have no heat either. None of them with restroom facilities. My heart goes out to them, rather than badmouthing them.

I'm not saying it's not a tragedy, I personally have a friend that was injured in an accident in TN the other day due to ice. I'm just saying people with a little foresight or education about living in regions that could be prone to snow or ice should be better prepared. That goes all the way up from the city level down to the individual. Most of it all could have been avoided.

My Son-in-law is a Marine based in Jacksonville NC and they told them on monday not to come in on Tuesday and Wednesday. He got two days off with pay bacause of a threat of bad weather.

wish my job was like that... instead I show up and no customers come in because of snow means no pay for the day.
I pray that it only snows on one of my 3 days off a week

2" of snow caused all of that?
Here in NY usually it takes more like 6-8" for that to happen. As an aside, let me say that for real winter conditions all season tires are a bad compromise. I've used real winter tires 40+ years and they really help. ABS brakes+anti skid are only as good as the traction tires have.
