LakeMonsterSS, Simply enjoy your boat, and take care of it. It will last a long time. Thanks for posting your question and the answer. I would like to buy a Corsa system at some point so I've learned something in this thread.

Friday's almost here....time to go boating!

I don't use the open (loud) option while cruising cuz its too loud to enjoy the tunes. I do use it when going slow or during water sports. The side mounted exhausts seems to evacuate the fumes faster than having them all bubble up at the transem.

My Admiral finally agreed to let me get Corsa Captain`s Call exhaust system and we installed it over this passed winter... As you learned there is a breaker came with the system and I had to reset it when we were playing with the system ad tripped it.... We love the sound of open exhaust.... and be able to shut it down when Admiral and her friends are on board... I wish Admiral`s mouth came with a Captain`s call so I can quiet down anytime I like

Ahh the holy grail of inventions, a volume control for women....... Also an on/off switch would be nice.... then what about a .... oh yes a family friendly forum..

More seriously, do these exhausts add any additional horsepower!

Unless you have forced induction, there will be minimal gains - if any.

Not much.....Just better sound especially for big block engines... Nothing else.... One thing we noticed was engine runs about 5 degrees cooler than before on our boat.. (8.2MAG) Image

Thanks for all the tips and explanations guys. Glad others had the chance to learn something, I doubted this was a first time issue. I bought the boat from Eric Childers of Childers Preferred Motors in Quincy, MO. The boat was thoroughly inspected by a local shop before purchase (not sure if it was as in depth as Ric suggested) and the oil and impeller was changed and oil was added to the axles in the trailer. The boat now has just over 60 hrs on it with no issues...other than a slight grinding noise coming from the trailer at slow speeds. I'm guessing it needs more grease/oil :? ..? I take it out on average 2x a week, I sell cars and have Thursdays and Sundays off and those are my lake days. Friday nights are usually on the Ohio anchored by the Reds stadium for fireworks 8)

Sounds like you have a good deal there! I had a slight grinding noise on my trailer that turned out to be one of the calipers had broken off and was sitting inside of the rim, just sliding around when going slow. When I would go above 15 MPH it would stop. I guess that speed just made it stay in one spot and spin with the wheel. You may want to start there.

When we bought our current boat Childers had a few boats that were of interest but they sold before we could look at. Seems to have some reasonable deals.
