2003 268 Vista Cruiser with 5.7 Volvo Penta. I have to open the throttle maybe halfway or more to get it to start when it is warmed up. Any help appreciated.

Might take a look at the IAC valve. How does it idel when cold? is it erratic at all?

Is your engine really hitting 260? If so you have to solve that problem first.

If your pegging out at 260 degrees, you probably have a worn impeller or stuck T-Stat issue.
