I can hear the motor run when I press the down switch but the up switch went dead. It worked before I put it in the water. Is it a fuse and where might it be?

On mine there are two relays on the trim motor (look for the reservoir) I have replaced both of mine but they still get sticky....a wack (tap) with the handle of a screwdriver works every time. Relays are cheap and probably should be replaced .

If you have the TWO relays side by side at the pump ==== swap them ---- you should then have up and no down ---the opposite issue. I just went through this on my boat, and the issue was corrosion of the connections that the relays plug into.

thx

I found the problem. I researched other posts and found the plug mounted on the engine was partially disengaged. Apparently there is supposed to be a clamp or something holding it together and I found none. Any ideas on how the fabricate one?
