what dimensions are the plates? i prefer Lenco tabs and until now have been wondering if tabs on these re pontoon FW boats helps.. could you put a 1-10 comparison on improvement. at WOT are you now able to trim up drive more and stabilize with tabs and increase the speed? i know we play this science game with the OB CC boats when we run them WOT.. dads 21 CC you can trim drive a couple more inches with the play of tabs and he gains 2-3 more MPH.. just wondering.
9X9 plates. I would call the improvement an 8 out of 10. I usually start out with trim tabs and engine all the way down. With that she jumps on plane now. Previously plane was an eternity. Also my boat used to porpoise terribly. In really heavy wake conditions I leave the trim down and she just plows right through the waves now since the bow is down. As I find smoother water I will trim up and speed increases dramatically. In really smooth water I trim all the way up on tabs and then trim motor up too to get the best speed at WOT.
I think the only thing that could be better on my boat is DUO prop. Short of ever doing that I am considering going to a 4 blade prop.
In summary these tabs transformed my boat.
