Well, after a long week of waiting, we were able to get our 288 Vista delivered. Got her in our slip around noon on Saturday then proceeded to spend the rest of the day figuring out how all the ship's systems work since we didn't even have a porta potty on the last boat (2003 Regal 2200) so we had no idea how any of this worked. For the most part everything seems to be in great order for a boat that's 9 years old, but I do have a couple of questions...
1. Where are the hour meters for the engines? I have twin Merc 5.0 MPI with BIII drives. I expected to see them on the tachs as I do on almost every other boat. I was told the boat has 250 hours on the engines, and I seemed to overlook actually checking on that during the sea trial.
2. What is the easiest way to get to the auxiliary input jack on the stereo head unit?
Here's a picture one of our marina neighbors took of me driving her into the harbor. Hopefully I will have more pics to upload soon, or once I actually take her out of the slip.
