For similar money, look at buying a cool, old skool XP Limited.

That's so funny you say that.... because I've found two 99 XP Limited's in mint condition for $2000 each. Very tempting. 1/3rd the price and goes 10mph faster than a Spark. Also uses twice the fuel and breaks all the time.

This might be why you can't find a spark.

I'd buy a Yamaha.

The 2015 models come out in 2 months the dealer said. I know the spark isn't the best, fastest, or whatever but it fits my needs and budget. I just want something that looks good and I can fart around on. They get great fuel consumption and have a warranty.

People say they ride a little more loose like the mid-late 90s ones did.

I had a 97 GS with the 787. It was a blast. The Spark seems like a current version of that generation GS.

But, that GS was so easy to work on and so simple.

Yeah. My buddy rented one while on vacation. Said it was loose (compared to his tank of a ski). I've heard of people adding weight to make them more stable and to pull wakeboarders. They are the EASIEST ski in the world to work on. Literally. Due to their plastic construction the hull and deck are bolted together. Remove the bolts and a harness clip or 3, and the whole top of the ski comes off.

I found a used one with 11 hours on it locally for 5k (2up, HO engine), that's about $1200 off. BUT it's orange like that pic. I want black and gray to match my car (black car gray rims).

By easy to work on I meant that the GS, as a 2 stroke carb'd engine, it was easy to keep running and get running again after an unfortunate "drowning". Engine access sucked. I concur the spark has that department cornered. But you are still dealing with a 4-stroke fuel injected engine at the end of the day.

So apparently the 60hp and 90hp Seadoo Sparks are the same engine, just a different ECU tune. $1000 for a re-flash kit and they make 110hp (60 or 90 model).

This changes everything.

You're looking at the wrong toy to own!
The 951 in the XPL is as tough as a brick outhouse & goes like a cut cat.
