Hi fellow boaters - it's almost time !!

Anyways, I have a 1994 258 Vista that I am going to put trim tabs on this year.

Wondering what everyone thinks about electric vs. hydraulic - pros and cons to each.

What size to go with?

Brand?

Is it easy to do yourself (I am a half a*** mechanic) or does it require an experienced installer ?

I believe that I want a switch that includes a position meter that indicates the position of my trim tabs so I don't have to rely on 'feel'

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks - Ken

Bennett's customer service is second to NONE.. Lenco can't even come close... Tabman posts on another boating forum and he's the parts guy at Bennett and I've seen him replace parts (for free mind you) on 20 year old tabs. That's unheard of, and one reason why Bennett is at the top.

I too recomend the bennett tabs. Back when we had our last boat (1995 FW 245 sundowner), I looked into tabs for it and decided on bennetts. Bennett has the controler you speak of as well.
