You're looking at the wrong toy to own!
The 951 in the XPL is as tough as a brick outhouse & goes like a cut cat.

The guy asking 6900 for one that costs 6200 new is like, It's worth 8000 really cause they're sold out.

What a dick.

I might just go the XPL route, they're amazing beasts. There's a really nice 2005 Yamaha GP1300R forsale for $4500obo too.

The GP1300R is the R1 of it's time, where an XPL is still like a supermotard that you've just stolen.
If you plan to frequently ride 2 up, don't buy the XPL. You'll get wet. A lot.

This was my old 2000 XPL:

buddy is building his xp with jugs and a whole slew of goodies to 1600 should be a rocket ship when done. thats all i can contribute lol

I am researching a new Graphic Design computer for me at the office and new Adobe Cloud to see if the new features render the $800 third party plug ins that we us, useless to save us money..

so far i will be 3.5 i7 quad core intel, 4GB dedicated to the graphics card, 32gb ram, 10GBps network. few configurations with varying pricing.

catching up on work after a 2.5 day setback from a software code issue. among other things.

well i will return in a bit to check up on you guys

Getting ready to head to Sebring International Raceway to race with the SCCA for the weekend. Second to last race weekend of the year so I need the points to stay in 2nd place for the regional championship. Should be hotter than hell 98 degrees predicted. Here's a photo from Daytona a couple of weeks ago. Both cars are mine. I'm in the yellow one.

Very cool and good luck. I have a buddy who races in GT-1 in SCCA up here in the midwest. He just made his pro debut in the Trans-Am series last weekend at Mid-Ohio.

GT-1 those are the big boys. No fooling around there. They might even be faster than what I used to race. Open wheel just became too expensive so I had to move to Spec Miata and ITS.

All racing is expensive, but I hear you. I think the only cars that are faster than the GT-1 cars are the Atlantics. The top FA cars at Road America run 2:02+ or so, the GT-1 cars are 2:05+ and the FC cars are 2:15+. I'd imagine FC would be much closer on a tighter track than Road America though.

Picked up a good O'neill Assault USCG life jacket for the ski from the local wakeboard store. Replaced the trailer jack and coupler to ones that didn't look rusty (Thanks Harbor Freight that's 2mi away). All that's left is to replace the springs and lug bolts that look rusty, otherwise the trailer is galvanized and is in perfect shape.

Wouldn't that be nice to be able to transport the ski with my boat somehow. Lots of people seem to just install a shutoff valve on the ski's water pickup line and tow it on plane at 30mph with about 20ft of rope, or wherever the sweet spot is on your boat's wake so it tows straight.

Yup I'm thinking that's going to be in my near future. I've been reading a lot and once you clamp or shut off the water intake there seems to be no negatives to towing a PWC behind a boat once you get the rope length setup right so it tracks straight.

Damn!
These Polk DB651's pack some punch with 70+ Wrms being fed to them!  8)
I just need to source a decent enough 4 channel amp that will give me 80+Wrms @ 2ohms and 250+Wrms for the bridged Polk DB1040...
