I personally would not drink water from a holding tank solely due to taste, but, If he doesn't mind the taste, what could possibly be wrong with drinking water from a tank with a stainless steel screw in it?
If I'm not mistaken.......Residential plumbing pipe, parts and pieces have been made from galvanized steel, copper, brass, black iron, stainless steel, and dozens of various plastic compounds.........
