H440....nice idea/concept but, is there a market for this design large enough to sustain the model?

I would have preferred a larger (50+ ft) cruiser.

Here in MA, we pay excise tax on both boat and trailer. Cars too.

Same in Missouri. We pay excise on anything with a VIN or Hull ID. Kansas does to. Kansas took a hard look at how many boats were registered in Kansas and found it next to none.....with a 30% Excise, one can see why. They have since passed a law to step it down to 5% on boats this year. I think Missouri is around 5% already.

Check out this article:
http://kdwpt.state.ks.us/Boating/GOVERNOR-BROWNBACK-SIGNS-BILL-THAT-WILL-REDUCE-BOAT-TAXES

I love the new H440. It's going to be a popular boat on the Ozarks where everyone has a lake house and could make good use of the big bow riders.

South Carolina has property tax on boats, campers, golf carts, dual axle car trailers. dual axle dump trailers, but not boat trailers.

i pay $65 a year for my 2 boats.

Grandad owns an apartment building in the midwest where his boat is registered. prop tax on the big boats is crazy here. Most people have property elsewhere or out of the country to avoid the taxes..

See me I bought the boat in the wifes name in NC then sold it to myself for $5 dollars in SC and i now have reduced taxes, reduced registration renal i think i have to pay $18 for new 4 year stickers for the boat.. And my jon boat is $15 registration and $20 a year taxes i payed $1 for it.

this works as long as the other party selling does not claim the sale as income on their taxes. But the FW the guy claimed our sale. But NC does not have tax so wife sold it to me and she did not claim the "LOSS" lol... I have bought a few of my friends boats and then sold to their wife or kid or husband to double down the sale price that SC sees as they base your renal off of the sale price and it will haunt you.

The best route is put in wife name first then sell to yourself so you have the title JUST IN CASE hahahaha.

A classic Bowrider/Cruiser from the mid 70's. Not as spacious as the H440, but maybe ahead of it's time

The station-wagon wood siding was a nice touch.

It even had an optional hardtop.

That just goes to show that there aren't really many new ideas, just different execution of the idea and changes in public acceptance of the idea.
