Asked at the boat show where the 440 was - they told me that the market is too small out here for them to send one to the show. "The only people that buy those boats live in Florida - Or California." Told them - "So when I win the lottery, I should go shopping in Florida or California?" They did not like that too much.

And on the way home drove past all the slips with 35-40 foot boats....

Whatever. Not everyone want's to dump $45k on a tin boat. And it's a freaking boat show. Show off what's out there - not just what people would buy. The big Cobalt display had lots of people looking at it. This place - not so much. Yeah - you probably won't sell a 440 at the boat show - But it would get a TON of traffic to your display.

I like it. Not a Lake Michigan boat, but perfect for a smaller inland lake where you'd anchor in a secluded cove for the weekend.

Will she be at the Chicago or Detroit show?

It's a perfect Florida boat that's for sure.

Price on Hull number One at the Ft. Lauderdale show was $649K (US). It sold first day of the show to a gold necklace wearing, single guy, BMW owner, with large beer belly and aviator sunglasses. Not sure what the one at the Canadian show was priced at.

fire, why not? This yacht can pretty much handle any seas and the rougher and wetter the better given the clientele will be mostly young and ready to have fun. I have a feeling Four Winns is about to find out how well built these yachts are because they will be run hard. I am surprised they don't have seat belts upfront.

Just wouldn't suit us well on Lake Michigan. Not to much just hanging out at anchor or at rest. It's not uncommon for us to come back in some pretty decent size waves, while I'm sure the boat could handle it, a fully closed bow would handle it better.

Now on Lake Monroe (inland 10,000 acre lake), where we used to boat, it'd be perfect. There we'd anchor in a cove for the weekend and the open bow would be nice.

I can just picture taking one over the bow in rough conditions on lake Michigan and turning that bow seating area into a bath tub. :)
Not sure about the rest of you but every female that has stepped foot on my boat grabs a beach towel and heads to the bow to lay in the sun. I think they would miss that real estate to stretch out on, and I would miss the view from the captains seat.

Can confirm, girls laying on the bow is much better than a rear sunpad.
