Niagara, we were both pretty surprised by the space below on the 350. Lisa felt a bit claustrophobic by being "buried" down so deep down in the boat, but aside from that, I thought they used every bit of space down there as effectively as they could. We loved the topside layout....

It was really a bummer that the S215 didn't have a deeper cuddy. The other huge problem for my wife is the lack of light in cuddies and cruisers. She starts feeling claustrophobic really quickly without windows in the cabin. For this reason alone, she seems to gravitate towards Bayliners, as they seem to have more cabin windows than most other boats on the market. (when the 245 and 265 was still on the north American market, she preferred them over the V268 for the same reason)

The H440 is just plain impressive! Of course, both were W-E-L-L out of our price range...

Perhaps next year we can try to arrange an iFourWinns meet-up at the show!

Just a suggestion as far as new cuddies go. Look at the Rinker 236CC. Newer cuddy for Rinker, and has a good
size cabin and cockpit.

And a couple more suggestions if you can ever find one to look at.

Couldn't agree more! Toured the S235 a year or so ago and was pretty disappointed to see everything much smaller than my 225. Granted, my platform is in addition to the LOA of my boat (22.5') vs. the 235 (23'7"). The cuddy was so much smaller and the freeboard was much smaller as well. Frankly there is no way my family of 6 would be comfortable, let alone inviting friends out for a day. I also think these "shallower" boats may not handle larger waves as well as the older models.
It definitely felt like a lot of compromises were made in order to fit a "full" head, sink, etc.
Guess I'll be hanging on to the Vintage Beauty for a while yet! At least the price was right

Thanks for the suggestions Cap'n. We will certainly be doing some more investigating before making a move. We are probably about a year out before we buy, but we do know that we are going to make the move.

Hang on to that classic 225, Vintage; that generation of Four Winns were a wonderful boat!
