I like the one with the spinner knob.
When you remove it, watch out for the wooddruff key if you have the tapered shaft design, it will probably fall on the deck. I used OMC triple guard grease to hold it in place and grease the shaft if I ever have to take off the wheel again. I was amazed I got the old one off as easy as I did. Did this back in '08. One rap on a block of wood with a hammer as noted. Just got to break the force of the taper.

Maintenance weekend, wish I'd have done it sooner..it was in the 80's here this weekend!
But did;
- summerized! (reconnected all the hoses and plugs from winterizing for the 4 day cold spell we had)
- cleaned fresh water system (bleach solution)
- 3 new belts
- new impeller
- 3 new batteries
- 8 new spark plugs
- replaced the broken lock on the fridge
- removed the interior for recovering this week

Next free weekend - change oil (had the wrong hose for the pump), drain and fill outdrive (not 100% sure how, so I'll call in the mechanic), replace fuel water separator (forgot to order it), clean and wax!

Now that I have a couple friends that know a thing or two about boats...doing this myself may take a little longer, but learning a lot!

oh and I got this from the HOA Nazi's..

#7 is top choice as it is an OE FW wheel. EDIT: (Well i just got the email about the cost of the OE wheel.. and about choked.. FW is crazy. $975 so #7 is a no go.) #1 is $150 and #6 with spinner knob is same money. Not a huge rush at moment as the interior is still apart and it is about to snow today. BUT i do want a decision made so that i have it come time for the finishing touches of the interior come summer..

No boat work it's under about a foot of snow..
7* F this morning started up the generator and snow blower to make sure they work when needed.
Love the 2 stroke 'blower no thick oil in the crankcase starts on the second pull. Synthetic 2stroke oil....

It's 60 here today. Sucks - too cold to boat, and not getting any snow in the mountains so we'll have water in the river this summer. Might as well be snowing or ice.

We were almost as bad at -23F. I bought his and hers sleds to help make this winter fly by. It's even too cold for sledding. :(
