I should put the boat back forsale for 17k now that it's all polished.

Thanks! Nah I frequent the gym fairly often it was good exercise. The GF wants to spend the night on the boat tonight, since it's her first with me we'll stay dockside and if all goes well our next trip will be out at anchor.

Putting together a list of items that the Chaparral needs to be 100% condition other than cleaning:

New switch covers, they are crusty (upgrade to contura V series actuators)
New rear white light it's missing the light cover (buy attwood LED)
LED bulbs everywhere else (cluster, reading lights)
Recover rear seat top panel it's getting sun beat
Replace two broken zippers on camper canvas (I can't zip the front "door" to the bow)
Inverter isn't working (fuse?)

Same. Yesterday I went out to the vessel and cleaned the camper canvas, top deck and cockpit, installed the Attwood LED front navigation light, and new fulton winch handle (old one stripped out).

Also just ordered a custom wood laser engraved "Reserved" for my backyard boat slip to screw down. Since they are cleaning the lake people in my neighborhood are putting their boats in the water and some are stealing spots (we pay yearly for a specific spot). Someone took my father's slip next to mine but the owner was told he needs to relocate his boat ASAP. I have the best slip on our docks, locked it down 5+ years ago. I may or may not put my boat in my lake this year, but I'm not letting my slip go. If anything I may buy a floating jet ski dock and put it in there so on the weekends I don't have to pull it out at night and can do it the next day.

isn't the lake out the back door of your new condo and rental next door that you just bought? why not put it in if it is int he back freaking yard?

The back yard lake is only 500 acres. I had my boat in there before and it was sad, too big.

Yesterday I finished the LED bow nav light install (had to run to the marina to drill new mounting holes). Also drilled out the original wired radio remote and I'm going to order a new one today for the Kenwood. Also going to buy LED bulbs for all the misc. lights on the boat and maybe order some LED courtesy lights. Need a new steering wheel too, I'll look at some options. One of the smart tab gas struts broke and they are sending me two new ones under warranty will be here Thursday.

I'm making this boat PERFECT in every way, I don't want any complaints from potential buyers.

Yeah if I can find one that doesn't cost as much as the ski. 3 years ago I passed up on buying a used one from my buddy for $100, he was moving off the lake. I still regret that decision.

Ordered a bunch of LED lights off eBay for the boat. I might look into painting my steering wheel black, I can't find a suitable replacement that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Oh, and ordered a Kenwood marine remote to replace the original one that was on the dash.

This weekend I'll take the rear seat cushion off to get a panel replaced (something I planned to do when I originally purchased the boat 2 years ago), and the front camper canvas to get two zippers replaced on the windshield passthrough panel. Needs courtesy lights, looking at options.

I want this boat to be 100%.

Most parts come in Thursday, excited! Will be nice to have a wired stereo remote at the helm. Quoted from Pacer Group $70 shipped for all new Contura V switch covers, might bite the bullet today.

looking at the weather aka rain reports and looks like possibly sat and sunday i can work on the beginning glass work of the under deck items.
I want to get he rear bench seat built also.

so that means clean the shop and garage in prep for glass work. a trip to HD for stir sticks and quart measure cups.

SO READY TO SEE THE NEW FLOOR IN THE BOAT.

Tomorrow my plans are to install my new helm stereo remote, replace the starboard smart tabs gas strut that failed (already got a new warranty replacement yesterday), and clean/polish more.

yay friday... about to head to the house for lunch and see if the Lawrence Elite5 HDI will be a decent size int he kayak. Neighbor is selling dirty cheap. but i fear that it may be too wide and get int he way. As i intend to mount it int he center rib of the cockpit so it is near the rod holder..

Tomorrow is a company gathering for the wife company at the Jump station. aka a 20k ft ware house that has wall to wall trampolines.. it should be a blast for us. and hope the wife can remember some of her gymnastics from her competitive days 10 years ago..
