a boat that has been under wraps for a bit... from what I know, there are only 5 of them in production right now... and one is shipping to my friendly New Hampshire dealer... I'll post pics when I can get my hands on a few.

Check it out! Personally, I am far more impressed with this boat than the 262...

I still like our H240 better -- but this is a step where boats are headed!

I agree it looks nicer than the 262. I was on a 262 at the boat show and was not overly impressed. It was nice, but not as nice as I expected.

Interesting looking, but I would not choose one.

That is an awfully tight engine compartment!

Looks very well layed out for a party cove boat. I like it.

OOOOHHHHHHHHH, Beautiful.

I can say that because that is what my ordered 210 should look like. The color combo I agonized over switching back and forth to an SS seeing everyone elses' beauties on this forum (still feel like I should sometimes). I asked for no red pinstriping - no decals, just a black gel with a simple red band on the bottom. Figured I would just have the glass tinted about half as dark as the SS and have the frame powder painted black (or hey maybe just polished?)
Seeing this I feel I made the right call after all.
Nice find CC - P.S. I found the link to the pic of your boat - same with a sand stripe. Kinda what helped not change my mind back to the SS - niiiiice rig!

I like the color scheme on the hull, but otherwise don't really like it. It looks like a Cobalt. If I want a Cobalt, I'll go overpay for one.

I guess you either "love it or hate it". I don't mind the styling, it opens up the bow area so much more. We like to take others with us on our boat regularly and it's nice to have a spacious layout to let the kids get away from the parents. This is what prompted my upgrade to the H260 from the H200 last year. I don't like the cramped feel of the seating behind the port seat.Maybe if they didn't have the port side bench seat and put the cooler else where? I like the 262 and would love to see a 282! The hardtop option is awesome. It would provide sufficient shade area for those that want to hide and still leave the bow and swimplatfrom for the sun worshippers. I also think the reverse seat is a nice touch, I can see me and the wife lounging there for hours while the kids play within safe reach. IMO these really are upscale funships on a different/new hull design. too bad they incorporate that huge swimplatform into the overall length. If this was a true 24' 6" boat to the transom then I think it would suit the space issue just perfectly.

I saw the 262 at the boat show this year, and felt it was just too "angular". I don't think a boat should have sharp edges, but smooth curves, with a couple of big SS's and a really big obnoxious sounding engine.
Basically, it just looks like a deckboat/cross-over thing to me.

Oh, just looked at the FW site. This is one of those new designs that looks like they are trying to ease us back into the tri-hull fad from days past. I find those bows confusing, but it seems to have worked on those crazy expensive mastercraft wake boats. I like the room, layout and provisions - and love the profile picture above but from different views it does kind of remind me of an 82 Chrysler Lebaron and Cobalt morph. I bet it would be real accommodating for a long day on the water though - as close as you're going to get without going with a cruiser. Bet it would be a blast, just kind of on the fence on the hull and helm - you know - kind of like that old saying with something to do with Friends, Mopeds and Big Girls (just referring to the saying not suggesting theres any thing wrong with mopeds . . or big girls)

The 242 has hit the showroom! Check out some more pics at my favorite dealer who has one in their showroom!

Like the teak carpet. Might put it on my new platform.

I know it's where boat designs are going, but I don't care for the square, angular lines of the interior. To me the Cobalt influence is much too strong. That cantilevered sun pad looks like a future problem, but maybe it's stronger than it looks.

So that I don't come across as a complete wet towel, I'll say that the polished windshield is nice ;) .

OK, I'll be the wet towel. Upon further review, this thing SUCKS. It is everything I dislike about Cobalt and the MC/Malibu direction. I specifically went with FW because they weren't trying to do this. Needless to say, they won't be selling me one of these.

+1 on the teak look carpet, like the color with the big red stripe, layout looks good by me too, but I think the bow looks even worse than the already hideous (IMO) bow of the 262!
