I added this table to my boat:
http://www.amazon.com/Springfield-Marin ... B002IV6NMS

Quite possibly the best thing I've ever purchased. It uses the same mount as Magma grills, and I added a mount to my cuddy. 3 total places I can move it to (cuddy, cockpit, swim platform).

Yea I've looked at one similar if not same. Also thinking could do one the same shape as the cutout in floor that will double as I can place in the insert and toss cushions on top for the full bow padded area for the litte man to play.

Does that floor mount mout flush or is it a tad raised because it looks like it is not flat like most I have been looking at. Also does the mount hole drain? Is it the full open hole aka like a cup holder or the one that is just the thickness of the pole so that toes do not get caught and stubbed in the hole? As I have to think about little kid feet and my toes.

Flat? No. Real men love curves :D

I bought it because of it's compatibility with my grill so all my mounts are the same type. Having something raised up a tad has never been a problem.

so you have the thread lock one that only needs the 6 bolt holes? and that is sturdy enough? i have no experience with the thread lock model. Only the traditional pedestal seat and in floor flush hole mount ones. I do like the thread and no big hole idea.

Yes I have this:
http://www.springfieldgrp.com/products/ ... -1690102-u

The round one.

I bolted it with SS bolts and large washers to the ski locker door. In the 1.5 years it's been installed with tons of drunk idiots on my boat it still looks like brand new. I'd say it's pretty darn sturdy.

Yea I'm thinking it may fit the bill.. May have to use your platform grill setup also. Ive been looking for a Magma deal for a while with no luck. i do like the Springfield grill that can be had for 160 with base. Ive liked your grill setup since day one.

I bought my Magma Cabo grill from west marine on sale for $149.95. As much as they are a rip off, when they have a sale... they really do have a sale. Although the stupid mount was another $70.

100% worth it. No regrets wouldn't have done it any different AT ALL. It's amazing, everyone was amazed and jealous every time I busted the grill out at the sandbar. It was perfect I got to hang out with all the personal space I needed to grill while everyone chilled in the cockpit.

My next boat will have exactly the same setup but a bigger grill. The Cabo model was really small, it only fit 3 bubba burgers at a time.

I picked up my Cabo for $25 on Craigslist. It was dirty but looks great now. Came with the $80 angle mount. Love it. Electronic igniter and hinged lid are awesome. I had the Kettle before ($40 on craigslist and cleaned up beautifully) and did not like that it had no electronic start and that the lid was not hinged and needing two wrenches to attach it to the bimini and level it properly everytime...but it cooked like a beast and cleaned up easy.

The #1 problem I see with Magma grills..is the cost of the mount! Can't ever find a deal on those.

i am watching a Gormet model on eBay at present.. SO NONE of y'all bid me up. thanks.. it is the 8x19 model and If i can grab it on the cheap feel it will be perfect. my $30 walmart ones only last me one season in the boat and tailgating. I feel that a magma would be good for both boat and tailgating.

CHRIS - what did you use to clean up the inside of the grill?

Clean-up was a combination of easy off oven cleaner (started with this to get the bad gunk out), barkeepers friend, elbow grease, and finish with vinegar and water to get the spots off. I also completely disassembled it to get the crevices (one of the great things about Magma's easy to disassemble)

i sure hope that this Gormet model works out for me. I think that grill along with a cockpit table once the interior and floor is all redone like better than new will step my boat up a lot. I will say that our next boat i would like to be around 24-25 area, if not a full cabin then i would atlas like a head and a cockpit bar area. A few of the newer layouts are very entertainment friendly.

i like the idea of a fridge and sink a lot.

My next boat must have a dedicated head. I will not buy another boat without one.

The wet bar is amazing, you fill the water tank with hunch punch. Some convert it to a beer tap.

My boat search for this winter consists of 2 models:

2001+ 248 Vista if I still want a cruiser. It would be my weekend river cabin with plenty of room for friends and girls laying out on the deck. Hot shower, real toilet.... yeah!
2005ish 214 Funship if I want open bow. It has a dedicated head, wet bar, trash can, bow ladder. Pretty much the ultimate day party boat, minus a sun deck (meh okay it has the bow fill in cushions to make a "sun deck"). They're freaking cheap too. Under 20k.

On a side note, ordered an accurate tach for my jet ski. Very important tool

Funny you mention a FUNSHIP as that is a model that i could see fitting the bill nice for the day weekend outings as a family. has a good compromise of features and space for the size and cost.

today i am Hunting out the solution that i invasion of a 90* ball valve that will go after the cooler drawing in the passenger port dash 32 quart cooler. In the past i have issue with the good cold water auto draining out the thru hull. So a simple under dash ball valve should do the trick.
