Closing a deal on a 2000 - 230. We used to have a '99 Sundowner a few years back and then moved into a cruiser. Growing family made us decide to back to a bowrider as day trips is what our boat will consist of for the next few years.

Found the boat locally...very, very well taken care of. 5.7GSI w/ DP, 305 hours. Bought it for well below NADA value. Should be a perfect boat for us. Large enough to have a small head and plenty of seating and storage...and the best part is no payments.

Hope to be around here more often

CLEARLY well taken care of - congrats - she's a beaut! And welcome back from a Four Winns newbie who's thrilled to be a part of the family.

Ohhh, grey. Thats different. Seems to me I heard that a couple of years ago 210s were like this years 220s and so on - sooo your 230 is what would be like this years 240? Man thats a lot of bowrider. She looks spotless - gleam on the hull and all. Dash is different too - looks like a car. Nice rig, nice terms and it has a head? How I wish I could have ordered that for mine.

Thanks guys. Yes...it would be the current 240. We do most of our boating on Lake Michigan, so the bigger the better while we were shopping. Yes...it is amazing how much seating is in this thing.

The dash is a VDO gauge cluster. Four Winns has numerous issues with them as when one gauge goes out you have to replace the entire dash :(. But I know this going in and they sell a plug and play replacement dash for I believe about $600. My plan is to replace the dash once one of the gauges goes bad.

Four Winns hold a special place in my heart. I am from Cadillac where they are made and the four Winns (dad and three sons) were all patients of my dad growing up. I remember the fire when their plant burned to the ground. My dad and John Winn are still casual friends...you should see his house in Charlvoix, Michigan...he boat house is just amazing.

Welcome to the board! The 230/240 is a great size... still reasonably trailerable while giving you the most room possible!

Looks like you picked up a dandy of a boat!

Looks to be in great shape, I like the U-seating. Perfect for a family day on the water.

Thrilled to hear it WD! And good to see you over here. That 230 is incredibly well maintained it appears. I know a guy with a 2000 230 who doesn't like his VDO cluster, but it still isn't giving him any trouble, so who knows.

I remember seeing some pics of the Winns' boat house. There are no words to describe it.

I love the 230/240!

Very nice looking boat. Looks like it was even better cared for than the 2001 I bought in November. I love my blue, but that grey looks great too.
