Thanks guys, appreciated. Nice to have lots of people to ask when problems like this present themselves. Great forum

Lou - the regulator you linked to is one from a later 'proper' EFI engine - mine is an early type, the TBI is more like a very early type of injection, only two injectors spraying directly into the throttle body, rather than an injector per cylinder. It runs on a map from the Ecu, and can't directly adjust mixtures like the later types as it doesn't have an oxygen sensor in the exhaust...
The inlet and return lines are stainless, not rubber - so no kinks. The pressure regulator is built into the throttle body (helpful, wish it was stand alone!) and works with a spring and diaphragm, so not adjustable...
See here:

I know all early tbi GM engines used this system, so maybe parts won't be too bad - fingers crossed!!
For what it's worth I wish it had a carb too

Depending how long this goes on, it may well have soon, ha ha!!
Thanks Rick - I've not changed the lines, no - and yes as far as I know we're on the ethanol too :-/ will have to check this out. Maybe getting the injectors cleaned too may be a good idea....
Cheers for the input guys, it's really appreciated...
