I looked at the V378, and even the V358 several times but we decided to keep our boat. We bought a place on shadow lake in the kawarthas (not on the Trent Severn Waterway), but easy access to Balsam lake. Kids are young and just getting into water sports, so a big cruiser would just not be right for the family.

Winter Sux should know where shadow lake is. The best part is there is a garage for my boat for winter storage :)

A BBQ and a few beers would be epic at that pad! 8)

That's a summer home?

Very nice. I am sure you will enjoy that place.

Beautiful, I think the summer home is a better investment.

Congratulations, we made a similar decision about 5 years ago. We purchased a small condo to keep maintenance down, it is not nearly as beautiful as your new place.

Thanks guys, the place is about 1 1/2 hours away from out home, so it should get good use. I'll be looking at getting the OE stainless tower installed. Hopefully Sushi pops in here one in a while so I can pick his brains again

Is balsam lake accessible down the river to shadow or are dams and depth an issue?

I can make it all the way to Coboconk, but there is a damn there, so you cannot make it into Balsam. There is a boat launch in Coboconk, and that is just 12 minutes away if I had to trailer it and launch it there.

The solution is simple, you need a 2nd boat for the summer home. Maybe some jet ski's too.

My buddy with a Chapparal trailers over 1 hour to boat in Balsam. Its the highest lake in the chain going down to Trenton. Rick, we will probably get some more toys but right now, the bank account is draaaaained!

Great Move..... and Congrats!
You want to take care of "Nest" first then toys..... Kyak..Paddle board.. Jetski ...... more for kids to do... SS arch will look good on your SL.

PS. Now you need a slope side house for winter house....
