Tomorrow's lesson, the importance of duct tape.

Concerning the crankcase ventilation hose and the elbow which attaches to the flame arrestor...seems that the elbow is part of the flame arrestor and is NOT meant to separate from the housing. Therefore, I must order a complete flame arrestor.

Luckily, someone offered to sell me a used one they replaced with a K&N for half-price a new one would cost. Is said to have only one season of use. I am thinking I will use some two-part adhesive to repair the old part and will add it to my cache of spare parts.

I want to get off work early today but that doesn't look like it is going to happen.

Installing mods to the ski (one's that won't void warranty).

Bone stock it's doing 70.5mph on the GPS with the speed limiter. Installing the speed limiter removal device today, should bring it to around 72.

I'm ordering a MX helmet to wear during tight river runs. These speeds are dangerous.

I have been busy with house stuff trying to get it ready to hit the market and the FW has taken a back burner the past 2 weeks. BUT that is about to make a change.

At first I thought this was the inside of some large Vista rig and wondered how many boats had granite countertops!

Anyways, looks nice!

LOL THANKS

DADs custom Greg Willis North Carolina custom had Granite in the galley. it was 1.5cm with a false 3cm face and was kevlar and carbon backed not he underside to prevent it from breaking. was much lighter than a true 3cm. where as 3cm granite is 18-20# a square foot.

i will have to take some beer bottle proportional pictures tonight to show how huge this sink truly is.

Beautiful day today. Glad I squeezed all of my work into M-TH to have today off. I don't care how much I have to work in the four days as long as I can have a three day weekend!

Went out today, the boat ran great. I think the hose coming off the flame arrestor was the cause of my stalling issue. The used one arrived yesterday but I did not swap them out yet. The old one held in place today.

My brother came out with us today. So it was my wife, brother, our two sons (3 & 7) and myself. Weather was perfect. We cruised from Beacon Cove up the Middle Channel and down through the South Channel. Put in 30 gallons of fuel at Riverside Grocery and ordered some pizza and knots. We then took the pizza/knots to Club Island where we ate, the kids played, we watched boats go by, talked, laughed, etc.

Days like this is what boating is all about.

I hope you guys got to enjoy it!

About to put the covers on and call it a day. Beautiful out on the water today.

Installed the Perfect Pass system in the morning and got to test it in the afternoon. Tomorrow is Father's Day and we will be wake boarding all afternoon...very excited to see this speed control in action!

Have yet to pick a final location for the GPS 'puck'. The manual says that underneath the dash is possible so I'm going to give that a try tomorrow first. If it doesn't get consistent reception it'll have to go under the windshield and I'm fine with that...

Love calm water days!

Today, I ordered some stainless steel cup holders to replace the yellowing plastic ones.

Had a good day yesterday (Happy Fathers Day to you All!!) A long while back I had outdrive issues which prevented us from using the boat for almost 10 years...Early last year I found a guy who fixed my outdrive for cheap and got on the water again... So realizing that I hadn't done any real maintenance before that.. I decided to change the:

1) lower unit fluid (Amsoil)
2) spark plugs (AC Delco)
3) oil (Mobil 1 30wt)
4) impeller (I heard a screeching noise trying to run water thru it in my driveway, turns out impeller was toast, had spare)
5) simple greened motor

plan on changing fuel/water separator later this week

plan to drop it in water next saturday for 1st time this season (...just moved and have a newborn now..), excited to see how she runs..

Congrats on getting the boat back on the water! What was wrong with the outdrive?

years ago I was in the middle of lake cruisin along...bam! hit a submerged log..thrashed prop, had a spare, swapped out and thought nothing else of it....next week, cruising along and the boat just stops, wasn't goin into gear, got towed in and figured that the "innards" got jacked up the week before and it finally out right busted..took it to a boat shop and they tell me I need a new outdrive...I priced them out and at the time they were going for like 7-8k, so i let it sit in the backyard for many years, only using it for music when we had bbq's :) , so fast forward to early last year, I was talkin to my machinist who was boring out my truck block (for a stroker project) and I mentioned to him about my issue...he tells me to call this hole in the wall boat shop owned by a friend of his and ask him whether the boat was toast or not.... so took it to him and he calls me to say yup.. outdrive was toast, BUT, he could fix it..I asked him how much (thinkin the worst),,,and he says "parts and labor...$1000"...what? I sat on this thinkin it was gonna be alot more...a week later, it was done..took it for a ride the next day with my wife and 7 year old who didn't even know we had a boat..lol...
