Windlass will retrive, but not deploy

Lewmar windlass on my 1999 V268 will no longer deploy anchor, but it will retrieve ok (both up/down worked ok until recently). When I push the "down" switch on either deck or dash I get a clicking noise. I cleaned all the terminals on the solenoid and problem remains (major PIA to get to). Is there anything else I can check?

can u reverse the wires for the up and down and see if the down works then? If so you may have a bad solenoid.
