Well, today was a special day! In the midst of spotty showers in Seattle, the wife and i decided it was definitely the day to put the boat in the lake for the spring. We rounded up the boat, gave her a quick clean up, put the essentials in and off we went.
Crazy part is.. my wife agreed to go even though it has been rain showering off and on all day!
She did forget the camera at the launch ramp... left it in the car... so I snapped a couple pics here and there.
We were able to cruise the lake without much rain at all... swung by Paul Allen's and Bill Gates' houses - but they didn't come out to the dock to say hi.
It was also my wife's (Nicole) first time driving a boat! I'm going to take a Power Squadron class with her, but she's a captain in the making! She picked it up quick and was totally lovin' it!
After about 2 hours on the lake, we put the new boat in it's new home... Got lines adjusted, and bumpers out... cleaned up, and cover on!
I have a happy wife who loves the boat... I have a happy boat that loves Lake Washington... and I'm happy because everything was flawless for a first run of the season.
Oh - and the new tunes with the JL speakers does NOT suck.
A couple of pics...
