Ah, my specialty!
Everyone's heard of RogueWave wifi. Works great, but really expensive. Well, you're in luck. It's literally a re-stickered Ubiquiti Bullet M.
What's pretty cool is Ubiquiti made a new model of the Bullet M in aluminum, even more durable. It costs $100 on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-ANT241 ... WM91HGKHQTNow, here's the fun part. You plug that into the WAN port of your standard home wireless router installed in your boat (get whatever brand/model it really doesn't matter) so you can walk around your vessel with a local strong WIFI signal.
