What is everyone doing for their Cruisair air filters these days? I have used the range hood filters in the past but would like to get something like a traditional home filter.

Mines a mesh I pull out and rinse off. Slides in front of the coils. My return vent doesn't have a filter.

Yes, 298VISTA2000 you might want to check it.

I never could find a good replacement filter that would slide effortlessly up and down so I yanked out the partition under the settee that was right in front of the Cruisair coils and then I cut to fit an Absorber Odor Control Air Filter and topped it off with a Filter Fresh Whole Home Air Freshener. This was the first time I was able to clean the coils properly because of how tight the fit of the Cruisair unit was in the settee and they were filthy.

I am guessing I have the 2005 original filter in my Vista 288. Where would I find the filter to check and determine what size I need?

Feel on the outside of the coil. Most likely it's a foam pad that slides in. Wash it off and reuse
