After a long winter of inactivity, we finally took the 278 out. She ran great and we're looking forward to spending the weekends on her!

That is good news, we will launch next week sometime, and plan a little cruise around Muskegon Lake, up to Whitehall on Lake Michigan, then back to our slip in Muskegon.

Providing it doesn't snow.

Yes, got impulse out for our second outing of the season this sat. It was beautiful on Lake Lewisville. It was a tad brisk when we launched, but by mid afternoon it was hard to believe it wasn't 85 while relaxing in a cove. I can't wait for our first night time excersion. I love being on the lake after dark. Good tunes, cold beer, friends in the middle of the lake..........It doesn't get any better for me.

Mother nature is showing her sick sense of humor around here today..... 20cm (almost 8") of snow by tomorrow morning, along with some freezing rain and ice pellets for good measure.

And we just managed to get rid of all the snow on the ground here!

With any luck, the ice will be out of the water by May :(

Man, I do feel for you guys in the snow belt. Snow is gone here in NS and has been for probably 2 weeks. No Ice on the lake either. I was just going to put the summer wheels & tires on the car (I am starting to hear the humm of the snows in my sleep). But for us it isn't snow - its non stop rain, my driveway is an 800' muck river.
Brother in law is down from Hamilton ands he says still tons of snow there but at least you can take comfort that when your summer does roll around it is SOOOOO much more like summer than we get.
*%X!?*xRR! wind & rain! :x

Where abouts do you live in NS Blessed? Not sure if we will be driving through or flying over on our way to NFLD this year (my wife is a newfie :P ). The drive through Cape Breton on the way to Sydney is my favorite part of the trip when we drive; I just love it out there.

We are just north of the snow belt, so we don't usually get hammered as bad as planetalternative does. Our local lakes are about 1-2 weeks behind the snowbelt lakes for thawing though.

Only been on RR with the waverunner and it's been a while. The ramp I've been to is one I'd recommend. It's got about 6 or 8 launch lanes and doc's that run out between every 2 spots. I'll have see if I can remember the name of the park/site. I'll repost if I find it.

Almost certian this is the ramp I've been to on RR.

State Park, Isle du Bois Unit
From I-35 at Sanger, go 12 miles east on FM 455. Look for signs on the north side of the road.
Multi-lane concrete ramp with boarding pier and parking for up to 125 vehicles. Lighted fishing pier also available.
Park entrance fee required
Open all year
Operated by Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept. (940) 686-2148

Looks like spring finally hit here. Temps are expected to hit the 60's in the next couple of weeks. :D
We're headed up to the marina next weekend so I'd better check the cleaning supplies and get ready to get to work.
Heres to a long and safe boating season.
