Last year, I found a local guy who builds outdrive jacks, so I picked one up for $275. Will make any outdrive maintenance much easier as the Bravo 3 is a heavy sob.

to make longer spray wand...
I save up those little red spray wands. I found that a certain size wire insulation I had in the garage worked perfectly to joint them together. So I have one for the Kroil and one for compressed air. I joined 3 of the regular size spray wands with two pieces of insulation, just carefully cut it and pulled the wire out. I would SOAK SOAK SOAK it over several days. Don't forget the gimble bearing could be corroded into the aluminum gimble housing as well. Try to also spray it in around the gimble bearing, in your pix I see you got the bellows off, so now also try to spray past the u-joints all around the spot where the gimble bearing fits into the gimble housing.

BTW, one thing I like about the newer Volvo salt water drive....they use sensors....to tell you if there is water in the bellows or in the gear oil on these latest drives (forget what they are called)...if this actually works...what a great idea it is...
Now that, and a grease fitting on the coupler that you can actually reach, would make it possible to go maybe to every other year. With the way I/Os are currently designed, I still say every year or else you can have a problem like this.
